Icelandic chamber pop group Of Monsters and Men released this short EP in the states just a few months before the American version of their debut, My Head Is an Animal, was released. The four songs on Into the Woods ("Love Love Love," "Little Talks," "Six Weeks," and "From Finner") all appear on the original Record Records full-length, and serve as a good introduction to the six pieces' theatrical bombast, robust instrumentation, and sweet guy/girl harmonies. Those who find the emotional spirit of Arcade Fire endearing, and appreciate accordions and trumpets with their rock, will find a lot to like here, and even more to like on the album proper.
